you have to remove the whole pinion assembly. The rack can be pulled out the driver's side though. Un-do the rear tans mount and lift the trans, remove the line on the steering rack that goes to the far end. Disconnect the supply lines, steering shaft and the inner tie rods and pull it out. Then perform the rebuild procedure in the FAQ.
